Job Summary/Description:

KAIT 8 in beautiful Northeast Arkansas is looking for its next 10PM anchor. The ideal candidate will be a leader in the newsroom who mentors new journalists. The successful candidate must be passionate about breaking news and in-depth investigative reports.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
• Anchor 10PM daily newscasts
• Field anchor live newscasts as necessary
• Anchor live events from our OTT desk
• Present fair and balanced information to viewers
• Work with producers to create unique, fast-paced newscasts
• Report and produce short and long term investigative reports
• Work well with others in a team atmosphere

Qualifications/Requirements:
- At least 1 year of on air experience
- Ability to write for broadcast news, web and social media
- Ability to shoot and edit video
- Understanding of principal journalistic ethics
- Valid driver's license
