Job Summary/Description:

KAIT-TV is seeking an aggressive, digitally savvy content producer to work with its award-winning news team. The ideal candidate will be a great writer with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. If you enjoy writing, technology and all things digital, this is the job for you.

Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Working quickly to send out breaking news, weather, and traffic alerts, including push notifications, social media updates, and web stories
- Posting to our online and social media platforms
- Updating stories on multiple platforms as they develop
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn new technology
- Monitoring assignment desk and police scanners
- Fielding viewer calls and confirming details and tips with appropriate sources
- Writing engaging digital headlines & compelling posts on social media
- Clipping video for website

Qualifications/Requirements:
- College degree preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
- Knowledge of ENPS is a plus
- Must be able to take direction from News Director, Assistant News Director, Digital Director and Digital Executive Producer
- Must be a team player
