THE ROLE

Insomniac Events is seeking a Senior Motion Graphics Designer to provide art direction, brand stewardship, and hands on design and animation for our video and broadcast-based projects. This position will work alongside our Creative Director in developing and implementing visual identities and animated storytelling across our slate of programming. The Senior Motion Graphics Designer maintains high visual standards, and a strong attention to detail. This position will oversee strategic, complex projects, bringing new innovative ideas. This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead collaboration among motion graphic designers, initiating brainstorming sessions and generating creative concepts to elevate the quality of the motion graphic animation and styling
• Produce high quality motion graphics for the department as required in a fast-paced environment
• Take ownership of and execute projects, outlining the initial creative vision, creating storyboards, and executing design concepts
• Assist in the production of video shoots in-office and at events as necessary
• Create high impact graphics and compose 2D and 3D animation used for video and social production
• Assist in the selection of audio, graphics, colors and animations taking initiative to make creative recommendations that accomplish goals of video
• Consult on decisions regarding outsourced motion graphic/editing needs
• Stay current on the latest trends and techniques related to motion graphics, animation and video media
• Maintain and follow best practices for versioning control, naming convention and organization of graphic files and archiving

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor ' s Degree or education in Graphic Design or related field
• 7+ years ' professional design experience
• Strong relevant portfolio
• Well-rounded extensive knowledge of 3d design and animation, not just specialty skills
• Advanced knowledge and experience mastering Creative Suite Softwares; Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Mocha, & Maya
• Knowledge of following software: Boujou, VRay, Zbrush, RealFlow, Nuke, Adobe Premier, 3DS, C4D, PF.Track

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
• May work in variety of temperature ranges and climates while working events
• Must be willing to travel to work during holiday, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
