THE ROLE
Insomniac is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Assistant Editor, to join the post-production department in Los Angeles. The Assistant Editor will play a crucial role in the post-production process by organizing raw footage and creating short form video edits. This is not a fully remote position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ingest and organize video footage
• Complete footage requests for artist's management
• Complete footage requests for other internal departments
• Participate in creative meetings and contribute ideas
• Create engaging content for various social media platforms and trailers
• Deliver organized and complete media files for post-production downloads
• Attend and work company events (domestic travel expected, economy class)
• Support department on the various film shoots
QUALIFICATIONS
• Required 3+ year's experience in video editing
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop
• Experience in integration of marketing messages across multiple channels, with the ability to pull cross-functional teams together to finalize development plans
• Experience managing multiple vendors, employing procurement best practices
• Must be motivated with an ''Everything is possible'' attitude
• Must be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small
• Must have clean criminal and driving record, valid driver's license, passport, and car insurance
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
• May work in drastic temperature climates on job sites in various regions of the United States and Mexico
• Must be willing to frequently work and travel to events during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines and work events
