THE ROLE

Insomniac Events is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Photography Coordinator to join the New Media team in Calabasas, CA. We are seeking a Photography Coordinator to support the functions of Insomniac's Post-Production department and the primary focus will be on digital asset coordination for all photos throughout the calendar year. This position is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In-House
• Coordinate and maintain the ingest, organization and searchability of the photography archives in both Dropbox and WIDEN by sorting images, delivering and tagging metadata on each image to a high degree of detail for approx. 1000+ images per event, partnering closely to resolve issues and ensure quality control standards are maintained
• Utilize Photo Mechanic to organize the photographers' images
• Set-up title folder structures, permissions, and use access for asset management tools
• Create Lightroom Presets as well as look books to help guide and shape the resulting look of the finished images, in-line with each brand's creative direction
• Perform photo manipulation and retouching on delivered images as needed to enhance imagery
• Curate, package and distribute images and fulfill requests from internal departments, artists' teams and other third parties
• Acknowledge and uphold content security standards for sharing and see that all prepared assets go through the proper image release procedures
• Develop and update program documentations, wikis and provide inputs to monthly or quarterly business review documents
On-Site
• Set-up the photo production office, position tables, run power lines for each photographer's workstation, set up wi-fi network and photo NAS system
• Print and distribute production information and shot list / creative brief to each of the photographers
• Instruct photographers on how to set-up proper file naming conventions and camera date/time settings, ensure that file output is consistent with Insomniac quality standards
• Brief all photographers on the workflow, the required frequency for submitting images, and minimum number of images expected per show day
• Ensure that image quality is upheld, provide feedback to photographers as needed throughout capture
• Present top photo selects to the social team that exceed their expectations as outlined in the overall creative brief and shot list
• Ensure all points on the shot-list are covered adequately to satisfy the brand's content campaign for the years to come, by cross checking the deliverables with the requested items on shot-list regularly throughout capture

QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years' experience in marketing, production or creative department or company
• 2+ years experience in Photography and Photo Editing required
• Advanced understanding of Dropbox, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop required
• Advanced knowledge of Photo Mechanic and WIDEN preferred
• Photo DIT experience preferred
• General knowledge of NAS (Network Attached Storage) systems
• Ability to troubleshoot any system or computing issues
• Advanced understanding of digital file-organization
• General knowledge of camera gear
• Must have a clean criminal and driving record, valid driver's license, passport, and car insurance

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
• May work in drastic temperature climates
• Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
