THE ROLE

Insomniac Events is looking for a Head of Publishing who will oversee and manage all publishing operations at Insomniac. This position works alongside Director of Insomniac Music Group. This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Build and develop publishing development and partnerships of Insomniac Music Group
• Lead publishing A&R and sign producers and singers/songwriters
• Manage relationship with publishing partners (admin, sync, etc.)
• Expand repertoire through catalogue acquisitions and roster growth
• Drive creative output by setting up sessions and placing clients compositions with recording artists
• Partner with Director on master rights acquisition to increase size of catalogue and generate more revenue
• Develop sync & licensing strategy to fully exploit catalogue and generate more revenue
• Represent Insomniac Music Group at showcases, listening parties, mixers and other events
• Organize artist showcase for Insomniac Music Group artists at variety of venue locations
• Additional tasks to be determined in real time by Social Media, Marketing, and Production teams

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of programmatic experience in publisher business development for record labels, media companies or other related organizations
• Established relationships with decision-makers to facilitate all publishing deals
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, clients and partners
• Self-starter with proven ability to seek new partnerships or initiatives, and lead a project from inception to execution
• Strong quantitate skills and negotiation abilities
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
• May work in drastic temperature climates
• Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
