THE ROLE

Insomniac is looking for a Media Asset Coordinator, who will be responsible for ensuring day-to-day content operations and asset management is running effectively and efficiently. This position will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and metadata accuracy of ingested content and supporting new and existing business within our systems. The Media Asset Coordinator will be responsible for production of creative assets, including sourcing, localization, QC, and delivery across various platforms. The Media Asset Coordinator will also work closely with internal team to log footage, rough out initial cuts, source sound effects and music cues, compress, and post files for approval. This is not a remote position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Asset Management
• Provide business partners with access to raw content
• Coordinate asset management tools
• Stay updated on content security standards for sharing and tiering categorizations
• Set up title folder structures, permissions, use access to asset management tools
• Quality Control, ingest and release assets to the archive DAM
• Download and prep links for teams to view and edit
• Video Asset Management (VAM) metadata localization, metadata/avails submission, asset delivery into the video catalog while partnering closely to resolve issues and ensure quality control
• Curate collections of final assets to cross-functional teams and partners
• Coordinate final asset search requests
• Manage internal user account creation and permissions, and perform routine user audits to ensure all users follow internal compliance measures
• Partner with post-production teams to ingest digital media and related documents to the digital asset management (DAM)
• Develop and update program documentations, wikis and provide inputs to monthly or quarterly business review documents

Inventory Management
• Manage the entire inventory of production gear and technical equipment and catalogue all gear in system
• Lead the coordination and tracking of all rentals, leased and company production equipment
• Available during all hours to answer questions or concerns from the field, as well as offer technical resolution or troubleshooting
• Clean, maintain and perform minor repairs to all gear
• Send gear for repairs which are not able to be fixed in-house and coordinate with vendors to negotiate timelines and costs
• Prepare job quotes to request teams to source equipment and gear to accommodation production based on internal pricing
• Source gear through outside vendors which cannot be sources through internal inventory
• Create invoices and manage billing to production for the gear rentals and purchases
• Compile and perform equipment tutorials via various mediums: FaceTime, video demonstrations, conference calls and written instructions
• Perform tests on all equipment and gear upon deployment and return to ensure all gear is in working condition, continues to be dependable and does not require repaid
• Perform equipment research to either replace or add to internal inventory to determine cost, potential usage, reliability, and compatibility with existing inventory

Video Editing
• Transcode file-based raw files for ingestion into the edit project
• Create clips from archived content for alternative lengths and distribution
• Prep footage for design and graphics
• Cut in final GFX, VFX and audio for review and delivery
• Create multiple versions of assets for delivery per requests
• Export AAF flies for audio mixes
• Export final delivery files per approved specs
• Prepare textless submasters
• Maintain and organize backups of all current and ongoing projects as well as clean-up and organize projects before archiving

QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience working at or with a, entertainment, creative or advertising agency, network, streaming service or studio
• 3+ years of creative services experience
• Understanding of the workflow within a marketing, production or creative department or company
• Experience working with digital asset management tools
• Knowledge of video codecs, containers, and media formats
• Advanced knowledge in Adobe Premier Pro, Media Encoder, Photoshop & Creative Cloud
• Ability to switch between Mac and PC (both desktops and laptops) consistently
• General knowledge of camera gear and working with high end A/V equipment
• Exercise care and attention to detail when cleaning and caring for equipment
• Must have clean criminal and driving record, valid driver's license, passport, and car insurance

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
• May work in drastic temperature climates
• Must be willing to travel to work during evening, weekend hours and travel to events, as required
