SUMMARY

Hulu's Media Engineering team is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Media Engineering (ME) group, MMdev Team. MMDev team is focusing on building a backbone pipeline for all platforms (Disney+/Star+/Hulu/ESPN+) for Disney Streaming.

The Technical Program Manager will help support technical teams on multiple aspects, including but not limited to Team Roadmap management, Project and Program Management, Agile mindset and practice evolution and process improvement etc. They should be equally comfortable working with the team to establish sprint backlog, release plan and deliverables list, contributing to maintenance of team assets and knowledge sharing, be proactive as a member of team and play an important role in building up team morale.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Lead multiple projects with shifting and contending priorities, own project timelines and drive requirements to completion in a complex environment
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, provide visibility to management, anticipates and make trade-offs balancing the business needs versus constraints
• Act as main communication liaison with disparate internal stakeholders and external partners
• Lead team Scrum ceremonies and provide Agile guidance, improve team Agile maturity, build up/strengthen Agile culture & value and monitor overall team health. Help the team grow up to be a self-managed efficient team.
• Collaborate with engineering leads and domain TPM manager to update and evolve team roadmap to align with group goal and roadmap, organize team related program status review with management periodically
• Document team and project assets, lead post mortem and lessons learned
• Continue to improve program management process, communication protocols, and operational procedures related to effective, on-time and to-scope software delivery
• Share project/program management knowledge

WHAT TO BRING
• Bachelor's Degree in CS or a related technical field of software development and project management, MBA is a plus
• 2+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a relative industry
• Demonstrated deep knowledge of technical program management and engineering best practices
• Practical and rational personality, with a succinct communication style, structural and critical thinking is a very strong plus
• Experience running multiple concurrent projects of moderate to high technical complexity
• Experience in communicating with R&D, operations, product & development teams in a global inclusive, and multi-culture environment
• Proficient both oral and written English

NICE-TO-HAVES
• Experience of Internet and Video/Media Industry
• Knowledge of AWS or other cloud service
• Knowledge of Scaled Agile, build and release management
