SUMMARY
Hulu's Consumer and Market Insights team is seeking a Strategic Insights Analyst who will be an outstanding addition to our team. As a Strategic Insights Analyst at Hulu, you will support primary research initiatives around subscriber growth as well as audience, product and content strategy. This role will work closely with Consumer Insights Managers in designing research, analyzing and interpreting different types of data and translating it into concrete insights to support the Marketing Subscriber Growth, Product and Distribution teams. The right person for this role is someone passionate about bringing the voice of the consumer to the boardroom and who is comfortable juggling multiple sophisticated projects at once. If you are someone who is likely a hard worker analyst or manager at a top market research firm or research department, then this is a great role for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Support Consumer Insight Managers in the process of planning and executing quantitative and qualitative research studies (i.e., questionnaire development, programming and testing surveys, analyzing data, and producing reports). Much of Hulu's primary research is conducted in-house and candidates should be comfortable writing questionnaires, handling timelines, working with various internal databases and syndicated tools, analyzing raw data, creating reports from scratch as well as presenting and sharing those results to various partners.
• Lead our online research community by facilitating its day-to-day operations and supporting team members to complete research studies and provide timely insights to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with research partners (both internal and external), ensuring processes are running smoothly.
• Synthesize primary and secondary data from multiple data sources to tell a comprehensive story. Collaborate with other data reporting teams outside of Consumer Insights, when applicable.

WHAT TO BRING
• 2+ years of custom research project experience, preferably at a market research supplier or entertainment provider
• Experience with completing research projects (timelines, questionnaire design, data collection and analysis, reporting)
• Familiarity with a variety of market research methodologies and their applications
• Comfortable working with large quantitative and qualitative datasets and telling a clean and concise story
• Must be highly organized, dependable, thorough and can work independently
• Committed to outstanding quality and high integrity research
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to tell a story using data
• Great teammate with the ability to build good rapport with internal and external clients
• Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills and familiarity with survey programming tools like Qualtrics or SurveyGizmo
• BA/BS in social sciences, mathematics or another related field with a strong academic record and analytical background

NICE-TO-HAVES
• Experience with non-primary data sources (secondary research, social media data, first-party behavioral data)
• Experience using or leading an online research community
• Experience with SPSS or R as well as data visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus
• Experience working on entertainment or technology consumer research is a nice-to-have
