Summary/Objective:
The Houston Astros Baseball Operations department is seeking a thoughtful and resourceful person to join our team for the 2023 season. We encourage applicants from all disciplines and backgrounds.
In your role, you will work side-by-side with baseball operations executives to answer pertinent research questions and manage the day-to-day functions of the department. You will be immersed in a collaborative environment where you will be given the opportunity to grow and develop. In addition to attending to your core responsibilities, we hope you will take initiative to innovate and push us in new directions. While the contributions of your work will be felt immediately, our true focus is on finding someone with the necessary skills and traits to be a long-term member of our team.
The position will be based in Houston, TX.
Examples of things you will do:
• Create tools, visualizations, and reports to communicate information throughout Baseball Operations
• Evaluate players combining statistics, video, and other data sources
• Analyze and model data to support various research projects
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
