Photo Researcher, A+E Websites (Temporary)
The photo researcher supports the editorial and production teams for HISTORY, Biography, Lifetime, A&E and FYI. This is a temporary contract role.
MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Source and license photos from major photo agencies to best illustrate text editorial articles on HISTORY.com and Biography.com.
• Size and crop photos; upload and place in the CMS.
• Ensure images represent a diverse range of people and accurately portray them.
• Track image use for budget and legal purposes.
• Assist with images as needed for show sites.
• Contribute to editorial discussions and come up with visual story-telling concepts.
• Assist other teams looking to use photos that appear on the web sites (newsletter, social).
• This is a temporary contract role.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
Learn how to create great content experiences that deepen engagement with an audience. You'll learn about cable networks develop and roll out shows, including promotion and multi-platform viewing.
YOUR STORY:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized, self-motivated team player who LOVES to collaborate and communicate. You'll have:
• Strong visual skills; know what makes the right photo for the story and for the platform.
• Strong Photoshop skills and experience using a CMS.
• Comfort using spreadsheets for tracking.
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly.
• Ability to work independently and use sound judgment.
• A track record of being a team player.
• A love of information and entertainment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience working in the digital space.
Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A+E Networks on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third party vendor with a duration/tenure of no longer than eighteen (18) months
