A+E Networks has an amazing Manager opportunity providing support to The HISTORY Channel publicity department.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Manager, Publicity:
• Create and execute comprehensive, creative publicity strategies and campaigns for The HISTORY Channel's programming, platforms and talent including documentaries, unscripted series, short-form initiatives and more
• Develop and proactively pitch consumer and trade stories securing positive press placement in the media about The HISTORY Channel's programming, talent and initiatives
• Write press releases and other communication materials to publicize programming, new initiatives, and other announcements
• Build strong rapport and relationships with industry press, talent representation, marketing, digital and communications contacts
• Work closely with internal and external producers and talent to develop strong talking points for related voices promoting The HISTORY Channel's series, documentaries, and specials in the media
• Serve as a liaison between talent, their agents/managers/publicists, and various departments at The HISTORY Channel on assigned projects
• Work closely with the internal social media team to identify key trends that are relevant to The HISTORY Channel brand and content
• Manage talent at press and promotional activities that support the programs and the brand including, but not limited to, booking talent travel, building out itineraries, and managing talent on media days, at events, conferences, marketing shoots, etc.
• Manage logistics for press events such as premieres, screenings, parties, conferences, etc.
• Work with the Programming, Marketing, Corporate Education/Outreach, Advertising Sales, and International teams on programs and partnerships designed to extend The HISTORY Channel brand and talent
• Communicate effectively to other departments and team members about the vision and execution of PR campaigns and promotional efforts
• Provide support to the Director of Public Relations

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

YOUR STORY:
• BA/BS Degree • Minimum three to four years' experience in public relations, corporate communications, or a related field
• Demonstrated experience and successful, proven track record of managing multiple publicity campaigns at any given time • Experience in talent relations and successful management of clients and their representation • Strong understanding of the media industry and interest in identifying key industry trends • Creative and innovative thinker with a desire to develop publicity campaigns both inside and outside of traditional media • Crisis communications experience • Event ideation and execution experience • Detailed-oriented and extremely organized • Strong oral and written communication skills • Must have a collaborative, positive and can-do attitude towards all asks and tasks • A true understanding of and respect for diverse thinking and perspectives/varied points of view • Must be trustworthy and able to handle confidential information • Be willing to work a flexible schedule including occasional weekends and travel as needed for work functions and events

Compensation

Annual Pay Range: $75,163 - $93,638

Annual Incentive Target: 12.50%

The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the

minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will

be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,

competencies, location, and experience. A+E offers a competitive total compensation
