Job Description
The Editor, Sports History, develops, assigns and edits a robust body of digital text content about sports history suitable for a general audience. This is a temporary contract role.

• Conceive stories based on a defined content strategy.
• Recommend additional content lines.
• Commission and edit content from freelance writers.
• Monitor metrics to focus content strategy.
• Ensure inclusivity across content and writers.
• Track budget.
• Collaborate with the wider editorial team daily.
• This is a temporary contract role.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

Learn how to create great content experiences that deepen engagement with an audience. You'll also learn about the role of multi-platform content at a cable network.

YOUR STORY:

We seek a true team player who can help expand our team's depth and breadth. You'll have:
• An understanding of history. All our content is rooted in its broader historical significance and relevance.
• A passion for sports and some experience creating content about it.
• Excellent story-telling skills. Know how to tell a story in a fact-driven, but energetic and compelling way.
• A track record of successfully applying SEO principals to writing.
• Experience and enjoyment of collaborating with a team, taking feedback from other stakeholders and engaging in constructive dialogue. We all get along with each other around here.
• Ability to work independently and use sound judgment.
• A love of information and entertainment.

Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A+E Networks on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third party vendor with a duration/tenure of no longer than eighteen (18) months.
