Staff Software Engineer, HSCodes.io

Hearst Magazines is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to oversee scaling of our HSCodes.io SaaS service. You will use your experience in data science and API deployment to help Hearst Magazines grow their leadership position in this space serving package shipping entities all over the world.

What you'll do
• Architect API service as per contractual obligations to our HSCodes.io clients.
• Deliver improvements to our HSCodes.io solutions through data engineering.
• Manage all customer portal development of our HSCodes.io solutions.
• Participate in data science projects across Hearst businesses on an ad hoc basis

Who you are
• 5+ years of increasing responsibility in API deployment.
• Data model development and deployment experience.
• Strong Business Insight in classifiers (especially in the eCommerce space).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to clearly articulate ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
