Job Description
The Hearst Enthusiast Group , global media leader reaching a 25+million audience monthly, is looking for an Eastern Sales Director for Popular Mechanics, Runner's World, and Bicycling, their associated digital properties, magazines, and event extensions. The position will reward those who can maximize profitability through a passionate understanding of our brands, strong relationships, nimble and creative thinking, outstanding selling skills, and efficient use of all marketing and support services. The ideal candidate will be a part of a fun, fast-paced, creative team that generates digital, print, and event sponsorship revenue through a dynamic selling process. Digital sales proficiency and demonstrated communication, selling, and organizational skills are a must.

Responsibilities include:
• Exceed sales goals by prospecting and selling Popular Mechanics, Runner's World, and Bicycling in a territory that extends from New York City to Florida
• Leverage your New York agency and territory relationships to drive new sales opportunities
• Effectively communicate with all decision-makers, gatekeepers and influencers ranging from planners to C-suite executives
• Comprehensive, solution-based understanding of digital media landscape including direct, programmatic, social, affiliate and data-driven tactics to deliver on client KPIs
• Strategic oversight and management of sold digital programs
• Develop detailed quarterly and annual business plans to achieve sales benchmarks
• Provide management with weekly sales updates and monthly financial progress reports
• Travel within market on sales calls and to national events and trade shows

The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5+ years of successful digital advertising sales and account management experience
- Professional and positive presence with clients and team members
- Comprehensive understanding of the digital media landscape and data-driven tactics to deliver on client KPIs
- Highly developed virtual and in-person presentation skills
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively in pressured sales environment
- Efficient and creative use of marketing and research to develop presentations that close business
- Enjoy being part of a team, willing to take a leadership position and make independent decisions as needed
- Passion for our brands a plus
