We are looking for a Product Designer, Content Experience to join the Media Platform division at Hearst. The Media Platforms division is Hearst's internal product, technology and product design group, which spans both CDS Global and Hearst Magazines. You will join a diverse, supportive community of creatives building new experiences in digital media. You will have the opportunity to grow an end-to-end design skill set including visual design, user experience design, prototyping and presentation/interaction coding. You will contribute to an end-to-end design process that allows you to fully understand and own your work.

What You'll Do
• Act as liaison between product design teams-working on Hearst's proprietary digital publishing platform-and editors and content designer
• Build, respectful and productive cross-discipline relationships with designers, content creators, engineers, product owners, and stakeholders
• Understand our brands business and storytelling goals
• Educate editorial teams on UX and storytelling best practices
• Help to define improvements across our portfolio of consumer publications (including brands such as ELLE, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health, Women's Health, House Beautiful, Runner's World, and more)
• Utilize design thinking methodologies-including user research, prototyping, and user testing- to understand and innovate on content experiences and brand differentiation

Who You Are
• 2 or more years experience in digital product design or related fields
• Experience/familiarity with user research, user experience design, interaction design, design prototyping, multi-channel design systems, front-end coding languages and practices including HTML, CSS, Javascript, and React
• Portfolio of design work showcasing your design approach, learnings, and skills
• Familiarity with contemporary digital design tools and technologies
• Is able to function both independently and in a team environment
• Understands the capabilities and requirements of digital media
• Has a passion for digital storytelling
• Understands user-centered design principles
