Job Description
Esquire is looking for an Entertainment Editor who will oversee TV, film, music, art, sports, and Internet coverage for Esquire.com. This editor will also be expected to contribute to the print magazine in the form of profiles, Q+As, and trend pieces.

What You'll Do:
• Oversee culture coverage (writing and editing), ensuring a mix of subjects within a range of content-from quick takes and news posts to reported stories and packages.
• Plan and coordinate Esquire.com's daily, weekly, and monthly culture coverage with a strategy to ensure traffic growth.
• Manage culture SEO strategy by writing and or/assigning and editing news stories and long lead explainers.
• Cultivate and manage a stable of freelance writers.
• Develop editorial series and franchises.
• Develop and maintain relationships with publicists and studios for booking talent for interviews, videos, or social media opportunities etc.
Who You Are:
• 5+ years writing and editing experience in a digital-first work environment
• Deadline-driven, creative thinker, with a strong journalistic sensibility
• Versatile, able to shift gears quickly and manage several projects simultaneously in a daily publishing environment
• Familiar with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Trends
• Knowledge and familiarity with SEO best practices
• You have a bottomless appetite for all things entertainment and culture and a discerning eye for internet culture and trends.
