Director, Data Strategy and Addressability – Hearst Data Solutions

Hearst Data Solutions is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to develop, grow, and evolve our current data solutions.

The Data Strategist is responsible for:
• Aligning data vision with product offerings and technical architecture to inform go-to-market strategies for key verticals
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and/or services to customers and prospective customers
• Understand the customer need and establish Hearst's product and data capabilities as the best solution to solve the customer's challenges
• Work with the sales team to project Hearst's offering as best-in-class evoking confidence in company's technology infrastructure, and to remove all technical objections in the sales cycle
• Understand and articulate the key use cases for publisher data – activation opportunities (direct and indirect channels)

To accomplish this, the Data Strategist must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, and demonstrate solutions that address these requirements and provide business value.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and/or services to customers and prospective customers
• Understand the customer need and establish Hearst's product and data capabilities as the best solution to solve the customer's challenges
• Oversee data implementation for segment creation and subsequent performance at a campaign level
• Evaluate external (and internal) vendors solutions which would enable the Data Solutions Team to develop new products and offerings
• Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support

Requirements:
• 5+ years of digital experience with a focus on data - data driven thinking, excellent quantitative skills
• Previous sales experience in a client facing role (publisher, marketer, tech platform)
• Knowledge of related applications, relational database, advertising platforms (DMPs/CDPs/ESPs), and web technology (onboarding, 3P data tools, etc,) as well as Google Platforms (GAM, etc.)
• Solid oral, written, presentation, collaboration and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments
