Job Description
The Partnerships Team is looking for an Associate Manager of Partnerships. This person would help manage our content relationships with larger text and social/video partners, including Apple News and Microsoft as well as help edit and track our custom content creation. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and experience with strategically and successfully distributing text and video content on other platforms along with experience editing/top-editing text content. They will have a keen understanding of business goals and the optimization strategies to achieve them while working cross-functionally with product and edit teams as well as partner contacts.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a firm grasp of content distribution, partner management, and editing/writing skills. They should be highly organized, resourceful and proactive. A strong work ethic, positive attitude and e nthusiasm for content distribution is a plus!

What you'll do
• Help grow key partnerships, including Microsoft, Apple News, Snapchat and others through strategic tactics that include content planning, pitching and distribution, data analysis for optimization and ongoing identification of unique opportunities for performance improvements.
• Maintain excellent partner communications and relationship management while constantly working to improve performance and identify additional growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with our editorial teams and freelancers on content packaging, content creation and reporting back to all teams with performance data.
• Work with and manage freelance editors, including top editing content, assigning content creation across the editors and tracking the performance of content.
• Work cross-functionally with editorial and other stakeholders, sharing partnership insights, establishing and discussing best practices, implementing content strategy, and managing feedback between internal teams and partners.
• Create reporting and insights across partners to maximize engagement and monetization.

Who you are
• Minimum 2+ years experience working in partnerships, social/video partnerships, audience development or similar roles in publishing, digital or video space.
• Minimum 2+ years experience creating content in publishing or the digital space.
• Experience with Content Management systems and other publishing tools.
• Strategic thinker who can use data to drive business results.
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent time and project management skills.
• Extremely adept at problem-solving and exceptionally detail oriented.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong familiarity with our media brands and content.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Analytics, and Adobe preferred.
• Strong work ethic, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
