Job Description

HBO Max™ is WarnerMedia's direct-to-consumer streaming platform, offering best in class quality entertainment. HBO Max features the greatest array of storytelling for all audiences from the iconic brands of HBO, Warner Bros., DC, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Turner Classic Movies and more. The platform launched in the United States in May 2020 and introduced a lower priced, advertising-supported tier in June 2021. HBO Max began its global rollout launching in markets across Latin America and the Caribbean last summer, followed by its first European launches in the Nordics and Spain. Currently available in 46 countries, there are plans for continued expansion of HBO Max in 2022.

The Senior Director, Public Relations, EMEA is responsible for leading and driving the regional PR tasks and strategy for the expanding HBO Max EMEA PR team. In close collaboration with the Head of PR & Communication for HBO Max in the region, the overall objective is to drive and further develop the long-range PR strategy and public facing profile of HBO Max in EMEA to maximise positive exposure in local and regional markets. The Senior Director, Public Relations, EMEA will play a pivotal role in recruiting and nurturing the PR team as HBO Max will expand to many more countries across EMEA over the coming years. Key areas of responsibility include managing the growing regional team, strategic work with content-driven PR, media relations, talent handling, events, and monitoring, collecting, and evaluating press coverage reports from all territories.

The Daily
• Increase brand awareness and consideration strategically, through editorial coverage of HBO Max content and business in all territories in EMEA
• Manage a team of regional directors and local managers, continuously setting the goals and maintaining a solid network of local key journalists and influencers in all territories
• Maximise the overall press coverage in each of the HBO Max EMEA territories
• Provide regular updates for Head of PR & Communication, HBO Max EMEA management and WarnerMedia stakeholders on upcoming stories, opportunities, challenges, and announcements, including timing and strategy
• Support Head of PR & Communication in recruiting and establishing the best team of skilled and dedicated PR employees as we expand to new territories across EMEA
• Work closely with the regional PR Directors and their teams, the Director of Corporate Communications, and the Director of Max Originals, EMEA in positioning content, talents and execs not only locally, but also clearly in international trade and business publications, developing an awareness of the strength and breadth of HBO Max EMEA's overall product, brand and strategy

• Extensive demonstrated PR experience
• Proven leadership experience – recruiting, developing, and nurturing a team
• Insight and interest in the international Film/ TV and streaming industry
• Fluent English
• Creative and outgoing personality with a flexible and independent work ethic
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and the multiple tight deadlines
• Independent, pro-active and result oriented
