The Job

The HR Director/People Partner Lead is the heart of the HR function, managing and developing resources, practices and policies. Leading a dedicated, centralised team to handle organisational, people and management matters, compliance and employee relations.

The Daily
• Manage and lead a team of People Partners who support one or multiple Business Units
• Act as consultant and advisor to the businesses
• Work closely with the business leaders in the UK to develop a people approach that aligns to and supports the overall WM talent strategy
• Anticipate organisational and talent needs while managing a rapidly changing market and competitive landscape, supporting strategic priorities and shaping the culture and direction of the organisation
• Tackle the most pressing talent opportunities and challenges.
• Build the connective tissue across all HR functions and provide data that helps inform HR strategies
• Proactively manage and prioritise the work to support business needs and HR strategies/objectives
• Develop strong working relationships with Business Leaders, HR Talent Leaders, and the People Solutions and COE teams while acting as their liaison to the larger People Partner team. Leverage these relationships to identify areas within the business that are faced with organisational health challenges directly related to business objectives
• In partnership with the Head of People Partners, UK, Inform the overall Global Talent strategies for home office business units and also ensure they are executed against locally in the UK
• Advise relevant HR colleagues (Talent Leads, COEs, etc.) on talent trends to ensure proactive solutions
• Lead People Partners in the day-to-day aspects of HR including, but not limited to, performance management, employee relations, compensation, internal mobility, staff retention, talent acquisition, workforce planning, headcount and position management, talent and team development and compliance, working closely with Talent Leaders, COEs, HRS, ER and Legal as required. Provides guidance, coaching and counseling to employees
• Participating in various projects or enterprise-wide initiatives

The Essentials
• Previous experience working in a complex global organisation demonstrating a wide range of HR, critical thinking, and consultative/business advisory skills
• Proven HR or related experience in a multinational business and regulatory environment
• Ability to adapt quickly to a competitive and changing business landscape
• Exceptional people management and leadership capability with team and across function
• Seasoned HR leader that can pull from a variety of backgrounds including HRBP, OD, strategic HR, COEs or the business
