Job Description

HBO Europe is home to the shows that everyone is talking about. We give our customers original HBO programming as well as a wide selection of the best series from other content providers, kids programming, documentaries, and movies. We offer international shows as well as local productions. HBO Europe offers programming to subscribers in twenty-one countries, with Portugal as the latest addition.

The Job

As we expand our slate of Original Productions, and move towards Non-Scripted, we are recruiting an Original Productions Assistant to help the running of the OP department. We're looking for someone that has a passion for television, proven organizational skills and can work effectively in an ever-changing environment, as the demands of each project are so different.

The Daily
• Production Assistance:
• Logging call sheets, progress reports, production timing, and collating and updating the contact list, crew list and cast list
• Providing external partners with scripts, synopsis, marketing kit and photos with HBO standard security processes
• Supporting the PR team with monitoring IMDB uploads
• Providing ad-hoc assistance to Productions and development
• Legal and Admin Assistance:
• Uploading contracts and agreements using Inkling system, monitoring approval process and status, filing and archiving signed contract with direct sub-contractors.
• Supporting the OP Producer to manage to the departmental diary.
• Responsible for organising transport, screeners and submitting applications/marketing materials to festivals.
• Financial Assistance:
• Preparing the cash/card expense Reports, taxi expense reports and initiating cash request to finance daily OP expenses
• Uploading project documents to IPOS and monitoring the approval process and overseeing a smooth workflow
• Tracking records and summarizing monthly payments to assist the OP Producer in managing the budget.
• Supporting the OP Producer to brief the legal department for development contracts, budgets and monitoring progress in deal-making

The Essentials
• Previous experience working within the media or TV/Film industry
• Strong computer competence with a good handle of using MS programs
• Fluent English language skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently network and build rapport
• Exceptional organization and coordination skills with the ability to multitask and work with a varied workload
• To be available to travel, and work, on set locations. Travel abroad may also be required.
• Planning ahead and anticipate needs while working in a busy environment

• Prior experience and knowledge of Inkling system
