The Job
Following the successful launch of HBO Max in the US, WarnerMedia will be expanding HBO Max to EMEA. Reporting to the Director, Editorial and Curation (HBO Max - EMEA), the In-Platform Copywriting & Communication Lead HBO MAX - EMEA will build and lead the team responsible for developing and maintaining the in-platform culture to deliver a highly engaging and relevant experience for the customers.

The Daily
• Build and manage a team of copywriters across Europe, responsible for by creating engaging, original, clear, and catchy copy for the platform (trays, pages, highlight lists, recommendations, etc.) and continuously updating these reflecting the editorial updates across EMEA.
• Create and maintain the most engaging in-platform culture for the customers.
• Work closely with all editorial specialists to localize the curation strategy each month for the region.
• Liaise with the image team to ensure a cohesive communication through verbal and visual channels.
• Collaborate with Social and Digital teams to make sure the out-of-platform and in-platform communication is aligned and clear for the customers, to ensure the campaigns and editorial themes are successfully displayed.
• Create and validate the English and localized synopsis for the content.
• Validate the metadata visible on the platform (cast, genres, character lists, etc).
• Prepare monthly communication strategy documents to be shared with Marketing, Social Media, Product, Publishing and other relevant teams to maintain flow of information and unified editorial vision across company.
• Partner closely with Content Experience Strategy and Publishing teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of all copy and localized texts to specification and on time to ensure complex and timely display of content across all devices and regions.

The Essentials
• A journalist or copywriting background. Fluency in written and spoken English essential.
• Experience in leading a team.
• Analytical mindset that can create valuable insights from user behavior data to inform curation decisions.
• Process oriented individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously to under a broader editorial strategy.
• Strong understanding of European content, and familiarity with regional and local content and preferences.
• Able to make solid editorial and curatorial decisions based on understanding of our customers, and the unique characteristics of our MAX content.
• Excellent understanding of the European market, SVOD, and direct to consumer, and a keen awareness of key trends and issues in the major media markets in EMEA.
• A love of television, movies, and social media, as well as a passion for staying on top of industry trends.
• Detail oriented. Passionate about getting Ts crossed and Is dotted. Must have a strong sense of ownership of the choices put in front of our customers.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation skills and proven ability to work across regions and varying time zones.
• Able to adapt rapidly in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities; you must be able to create your own direction yet balance cross functional teams' needs, reacting quickly, dynamically, and intelligently.
