The Job

As a Manager, Content Optimization & Analysis, you will focus on creating an organized and united front between all of our major marketing touchpoints, including but not limited to website, app, digital advertising, and push notifications. You will be responsible for the frequency, the tone, and the format through which we speak to our users across their product experience. As a Manager, Content Optimization & Analysis, you can ideate content umbrellas that both spark interest from prospective customers and delight existing ones. You keep a close eye on the content we're distributing to make sure it's meeting performance KPI's and helping to drive towards our organizational goals. You adhere to a calendar and make sure all deliverables arrive in time for execution.

This job isn't just about managing a content calendar that blows KPIs through the roof. It's also about building a meaningful, long-lasting relationship between our brand, millions of people, and the entertainment we all love.

The Daily
• Work closely with the Director, Content Insights and Optimization, INSEAK to provide critical insights into Content Performance in the India market, and better the overall content offering and strategy.
• Support cross functional teams for HBO Max INSEAK and HBO Max Global with oversight of content offering and performance to ensure we have the right content for our current and future consumers.
• Monitor trends and consumer preferences, tracking and compiling industry trends to advise on future content acquisitions and originals greenlighting decisions.
• Conduct analysis of key business drivers, trends, and performance indicators.
• Regularly present analyses and updates on competitor content acquisition, offering/mix, usage, awards etc in an easy-to-understand format to business leaders.
• Work cross-functionally with Programming, Marketing and Data teams to define KPIs and compiling thoughtful post-mortem analyses to determine areas for optimization and improvement.
• Work closely with Product, Editorial and Scheduling and Planning teams on heatmaps, scroll maps and benchmarks to understand how the editorial and curational presentation of content drives engagement and drives content discovery.
• Building a high performing team in the region to support our content strategy and business launch.
• Analytical mindset that can create valuable insights from user behavior data that can inform content decisions.
• Strives to come up with new and more effective ways of measuring the impact of content on all aspects of our business, and to communicate these learnings to all relevant parties across the organization.
• Familiarity with content licensing models, originals production process, and the TV and film ecosystem at large.
• Ability to effectively represent data-based and consumer-focused content recommendations and requirements.
• Develop audience-first, data driven strategies that drive KPI's across user segments, to increase content discovery and engagement to improve and optimize customer retention and lifetime value.
• Leverage content performance and user behavior insights to inform and guide investment decisions for content including HBO Max International Originals development and content acquisitions.
• Develop both the short and long-term content strategy for HBO Max, using real-time data, hypothesis-testing, and ROI analyses.
• Assure alignment with WarnerMedia' s overall content/ business strategy by active cross-functional communication and alignment with WarnerMedia Partners .

The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or other relevant field that demonstrates quantitative orientation. 
• At least 5 years of experience including media and entertainment, management consulting and/or strategy and business development.
• Direct to consumer experience strongly preferred .
• Experience working in a fast-paced and evolving environment, with a proven track-record of being able to adapt, as well as anticipate and understand the business needs
• Possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results, and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
• Passion for entertainment, love for content and avid viewer, as well as a passion for staying on top of industry trends while figuring out what the future will look like with a relentless focus on creating and improving consumer value.
• A digital media maven and rare combination of ''thinker'' and ''doer'' paired with a strong aptitude for understanding of content strategy.
• Collaborative and diplomatic by nature, but also willing to take and defend data- and analysis-backed positions in the ongoing process and dialogue around content selection.
• Exceptional writing and verbal communication/presentation skills with track record of presenting complex analyses to executives/senior management clearly and concisely.
• The successful candidate must be motivated, disciplined, taking initiative and be able to work effectively autonomously.
• Should be energetic, positive, and resilient with a demonstrated ability to influence, build relationships, and drive projects among cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, constantly changing and deadline driven environment.
