The Team

The Business Operations team builds connective tissue for HBO Max, empowering our cross-functional partners with the tools, processes, and structure they need to do their best work. On the daily, we partner across all teams in the organization to enhance processes, drive efficiency and create visibility. We are versatile, flexible, and diplomatic, proactively identifying opportunities to support our cross-functional partners by improving BAU operations and tackling new strategic initiatives in an ever-evolving environment.

The Role

The Manager, Business Operations (LATAM Publishing) proactively and consistently works to evolve and keep our Publishing team ready to meet the needs of a constantly evolving product. You are diplomatic, tactical, and kind, someone who is detail-oriented but consistently keeps the bigger picture in mind. The Daily

Biz Ops' roles and scope will evolve as the business does - adaptability and a wholehearted willingness to pivot and take on whatever is needed is essential.
• Responsible for day to day operations and management of the Publishing Team (LATAM)
• Deliver editorial placement opportunities (i.e. amount of content in trays, carousels, asset pages, brand hubs, genre pages etc. to be placed) of key components of HBO Max pages across all devices
• Identify and work to enhance Publishing workflows.
• Set KPIs that measure the performance of the Publishing Team (LATAM)
• Report to Sr. Manager, Business Operations to ensure alignment with Editorial, Content, and Engagement, Product, and Tech Teams
• Develop strong, trusted relationships with all of our cross-functional partners.
• Engage with the Editorial team and Project Managers to receive content prioritization / placement and schedule / place content and campaigns
• Work within the scheduling tool to create strategy and business requirements for the tech team, solutioning workarounds, and moving the strategic vision forward
• Be a champion for sensible, effective processes. Consistently monitor and enhance our current practices including process, tools, and communications plans.
• Must be ok working Weekends, with two days off throughout the week.
• Spanish speaking.

The Essentials
• Thrives in ambiguous, rapidly-evolving environments, constantly, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement; start-up experience a plus.
• Comfortable quickly toggling between getting in the trenches to drive work forward and thinking strategically
• 3+ years in operations roles with a focus on publishing and digital editorial, preferably at an entertainment company; deep knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) and Editorial
• 1+ year experience in a leadership role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, accountable, and kind
• Loves entertainment. Knows small facts about random TV Shows / Films.
