Role Overview

Strengthen the European Programming Acquisitions team with a dedicated leader of the Rights & Administration team, working as a key member of the larger Programming team across HBO Max EMEA

Role Responsibilites
• You will lead the team of Rights administrators and coordinators, organize and structure the team and work strategically to ensure efficient and meaningful processes.
• You will work closely with the Acquisitions teams across Europe and support in different projects as part of the day to day as well as expansion to new markets.
• Your team will be working in the rights management system and any other adjoining systems, entering, updating and managing data, program rights and program information.
• As a Director of Rights Administration & Coordination you will also be leading the administration of the budget files, keeping track of license start and end dates, oversee the contracts administration as well as be a key contact for the Global Supply Chain and Materials/Localization teams and work hand in hand with the Acquisitions team for HBO Max EMEA as well as collaborate closely with the Finance and Legal Teams.
• A key focus area will be leading the internal administration and communication, for example setting up rights and content overviews and making sure they are kept up to date, administer information flow to relevant intercompany teams and stakeholders across Warner Media International and HBO Max EMEA will be an important part of the daily tasks.
• The team will be responsible for reconciling Invoices for payment as well as administer intercompany sub-licensing across regions.
• You will oversee the coordination across teams and Regions with regards to rights alignment.
• Supporting the Programming budget/forecast process will be one of the main tasks.
• As part of a dedicated HBO Max Programming and Acquisitions team there will also be other ad-hoc tasks and periodic projects.

Key relationships
• You will report to the SVP Programming & Acquisitions and work hand in hand with the Content Acquisitions team as well as the entire Programming team, Legal and Finance department and the Materials, Localization and Global Supply Chain teams.
• You will also work very closely with the HBO Max Content Experience Teams.

Qualification Skills

Experience
• Background of working in a similar position, with rights administration experience, ideally in an international media company
• Experience working with TV/SVOD rights or previous employment in the TV business/broadcasting is preferred.
• Experience working with a broadcast management rights system, or other advanced rights system
• Experience leading a diverse, international team is a plus

Knowledge and skills
• Fluent in English – both in writing and speaking (all correspondence will be in in English)
• Good knowledge of TV/SVOD rights is a plus
• Collaboration software experience is a plus
• MS Office; including advanced excel skills and PowerPoint

Preferred Education
• Bachelor in finance administration or similar
• Personal qualities
• Highly Organized, with a strong attention to detail while maintaining strategic overview
