The Job

WarnerMedia is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team in Los Angeles. This is a highly analytical and strategic position within a new business org. This position will conduct analysis, build dashboards and provide reports around standardized analytics solutions.

You will work with various internal teams to define key metrics, identify trends and provide solutions for end-to-end data pipelines, funneling data from our data warehouse through to analytic models and into reports. The Data Analyst will also work closely with data engineers, product leads, content teams, and other departments across WarnerMedia.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of related experience to support and fulfill the technical objectives of a highly cross-functional organization and a passion for digital, video and social media. Candidates must be highly motivated, professionally, and possess communication skills. You must be willing to work in a fast‐paced, dynamic and growing environment. The candidate should also have a proven track record of personal and/or professional growth, initiative, and attention-to-detail.

The Daily
• Create ad-hoc analysis using SQL queries and Python code to build Tableau automated dashboards and data visualization
• Work closely with the WarnerMedia data engineering team to ensure quality, accessibility, and consistency of data
• Work with third party vendors or ad network technical representatives to resolve data discrepancies or platform issues
• Utilize blended data from multiple data sources to provide comprehensive analytics and reporting solutions
• Develop a strong understanding of ad products and analytics platforms to better support operations and business needs
• Translate measurement plans into implementation guides for onboarding new accounts
• Support implementation setup and validation for the end-to-end data pipeline funneling
• Work with teams to develop A/B and multivariate testing strategies

The Essentials
• 1-2 years' experience working as a data analysis, preferably with marketing or product analytics
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering) and or equivalent working experience
• Up‐to‐date knowledge of YouTube platform functionality
• Intermediate Tableau experience
• Intermediate Python experience
• Advanced SQL experience
• Knowledge or experience in the area of data engineering or machine learning
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in analytics requirements gathering, solution design and implementation
• Strong quantitative and qualitative skills with experience utilizing scientific analytic methods
• A deep interest in online video and marketing strategy research
• Proven ability to turn data into knowledge, and knowledge into insights
• Experience with ad network operations (i.e. Google, Facebook, Twitter and Twitch)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill
• Proficiency in the following: PowerPoint, Excel, Dropbox
• Ability to think creatively and communicate complex solutions efficiently both internally and externally
• Flexibility to succeed in innovative, sometimes ambiguous situations
• Solid team player while also possessing a strong desire to win and grow personally and professionally
• Time management skills required
• Self‐directed and capable of working effectively in a highly dynamic and fast‐paced environment
