The Job

The Associate Manager, Creative Marketing for HBO Max Originals Marketing will be responsible for helping to shape the creative strategy, positioning, and key creative materials to establish the originals marketing campaign across all platforms. With a core focus on key art, A/V, digital, social/editorial creative content, community/fan engagement, marketing shoots, and on-set capture, they will support and execute breakthrough creative to capture consumer attention while reinforcing HBO Max as a premium streaming entertainment offering. From initial concepting to creative execution, the Associate Manager will ensure all content aligns with the overarching campaign strategy, are tonally consistent across all consumer touchpoints, tap into innovation & experimentation, and deliver premium, engaging content for consumers. They will partner with the Strategy and Planning team and will report to the Creative Sr Manager or Manager of HBO Max Originals Marketing.

The Daily
• Help build a holistic creative strategy for Max Originals campaigns, informed by strategy, fueled by leading digital & social trends, with best-in-class execution.
• Develop and help shape big creative ideas that break through in a cluttered, competitive consumer landscape. Take bold swings with creative ideas grounded in strategy and insights.
• Consistently demonstrate creative competency and ability to lead select campaigns.
• Competence in development and shepherding of 1 or more of the following: key art, A/V, digital, social/editorial creative content (incl. articulating creative feedback/notes clearly and effectively)
• Consistently provides successful/excellent executional support.
• Consistently understands and manages multiple projects and identifies, communicates, and drives forward clear next steps in the campaign process.
• Community management - demonstrates good judgment in providing content (text/image/video) to engage fan bases/communities, along with managing detailed social content calendars.
• Understanding of paid media platforms & creative, applying best practices in delivering the most compelling creative across digital video, display, social, influencer content, and outdoor.
• Support agency and internal creative stakeholder communication across all creative materials
• Makes effective and timely decisions based on data, social listening, and acute instincts.
• Deftly communicates with internal and external stakeholders (esp. talent, showrunners, producers), serving as a point of contact to field questions and provide recommendations and information on the fly.

The Essentials
• 2-5 years of experience in the entertainment industry with at least 2 years executing on creative marketing campaigns.
• Develops a positive culture that instills empathy and fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion
• A sincere love for streaming entertainment, television, movies, and storytelling, and keeps a pulse on the latest entertainment headlines and culture..
• Demonstrates an ability to lead highly creative campaigns, with the ability to meet a high-bar of quality content creation.
• Strong knowledge retention and the ability to apply feedback, while also displaying incremental growth and the desire to improve.
• Strong communication (written, verbal) and collaboration skills with colleagues and clients, taking the time to communicate effectively even when under pressure.
• Time management and issue escalation with an understanding of how the individual's work impacts the entire team.
• Demonstrates flexibility & resilience in the face of change and uncertainty, with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to switch between multiple projects with ease.
• Ability to work proactively, and effectively prioritize workload independently
• High level of integrity and discretion, with the ability to work with sensitive information
• Proficient in Google Suite (sheets, slides, and docs)
