Job Summary/Description:
The Technical Producer has knowledge of Grass Valley Ignite Automation used for News, Lifestyle, and Sports shows - both live and live-to-tape. Candidates also have knowledge of Chyron systems and basic graphics creation, Avid iNews, teleprompter, and an understanding of studio operations, including handheld and jib camera operation. The Technical Producer is a positive team player with a passion for broadcast media.
Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Executing newscasts using Grass Valley Ignite Automation System and building functionality within that system
- Coding rundowns in Avid iNews
- Supporting all studio operations, including running teleprompter and handheld and jib cameras
- Communicating effectively with team members in the newsroom, as well as various other departments in daily interactions
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Completion of high school. Bachelor's degree in broadcast television or media preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in a live broadcast television environment with hands-on control room experience
- Experience operating and maintaining the Ignite Automation system
