About WMBF:

WMBF-TV is the NBC Network affiliate for the Grand Strand and Pee Dee regions of Northeastern South Carolina and parts of southeastern North Carolina. This Gray Television owned station was launched in 2008 in Myrtle Beach, SC and was built as a state-of-the art High Definition broadcast facility.

We broadcast 39 hours of live local news and weather along with NBC programming to 8 counties along the Grand Strand beaches westward into Florence, SC. We also use digital media platforms to deliver breaking news coverage to a fast-growing audience.

Myrtle Beach is a family vacation destination for millions of visitors each year due to our white sandy beaches, more than a hundred golf courses, amusement parks and mild weather. It is a pleasure to work in a city where so many people want to visit.

Job Summary/Description:

WMBF is searching for someone who wants to be in the center of the action. The heart of the station is in our TMP room. WMBF has an opening for a full-time Technical Media Producer (TMP), someone who can code and direct award-winning newscasts, and seamlessly operate our master control technology. Position requires you to be very flexible. Schedule may include working late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays (the news never stops)! Great news, Gray Television recently announced that our corporate minimum wage is $18 per hour. So, submit your interest soon.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Code and direct newscasts (ROSS OVERDRIVE AUTOMATION)
* Ingest daily programming & commercial inventory
* Monitoring WMBF's on-air streams, transmitter & FCC logs
* Edit newscasts (EDIUS)
* Oversee studio operations
* Adjust on the fly when breaking news changes our coverage plans

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Needs to be fluent in basic computer technology (you'll be working on a computer all day)
* Able to stay calm under pressure
* Able to work late nights, early mornings, weekends & holidays (within reason of course)
* A background in communications with strengths in video and editing is desired
* Newscast directing experience & master control operating experience is a plus
* Experience at a commercial TV station is a plus
* MVR check required
