Job Summary/Description:
Gray Television seeks a talented and energetic News Producer to join our award-winning teams. The producer will select, write and assemble a blend of stories in a compelling, urgent and interesting newscast for on-air and on-line. He/she will have a demonstrated ability to work individually or as part of a team to produce compelling packages on deadline and the time management skills to produce news stories for WOWT.
Duties will include (but not be limited to) the following:
• Selecting, writing and assembling news for broadcast and digital platforms
• Monitoring additional feeds for supplemental material
• Working closely with the news management in the design and delivery of the content and style of individual newscast
• May include overnight and/or weekend hours
Qualifications/Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in communication, journalism or related field
• Prior experience as a ''line'' producer in a television news operation preferred.
• Great communication and people skills
• Competitive, energetic and self-starter
• Strong writing and organizational skills
• Enjoy a fast paced environment with a desire to win
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
