Job Summary/Description:

WNEM's Sales Department has an immediate opening for a National Sales Manager to lead our national and regional sales efforts, along with additional local responsibilities. Candidate must possess strong leadership and the highest level of customer service and sales skills, along with a proven track record of success with negotiating and servicing national agencies. The National Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all National revenue, driving share and creating demand with Media Buyers, Planners throughout the country. The National Sales Manager will also handle all political advertising for the station.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Develop and implement strategic National plans.
- Drive share growth through creativity and collaborating on customized solutions for our clients outside of traditional spot dollars.
- Help manage inventory control, have input into rate structure, and keep orders flowing into the traffic system.
- Accurately track and forecast pending business.
- Service existing accounts and create special sales opportunities specific to each client.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related degree is preferred.
- 3+ years in national broadcast transactional business and a proven track record of leadership, budget attainment and sales success.
- Thorough understanding and a proven track record of success in broadcast spot TV agency sales and successful negotiation skills.
- Well versed and adept in Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Extensive knowledge of TV station inventory. Wide Orbit experience a plus.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Track record of creative idea generation.
