Job Summary/Description:

Your Hometown News Leader is looking to hire a dynamic journalist to contribute to our leading newscasts during weekdays. This position is ideal for a recent college graduate looking to launch their career in journalism. A successful candidate is a self-starter, with good organizational skills, who can deliver energetic, compelling stories about communities in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and executing unique content daily, in collaboration with newsroom management.
- This person must be creative, energetic, competitive, and a problem-solver with strong communication and reporting skills.
- The ideal candidate demonstrates compelling storytelling, photography, and videography skills that go beyond a press release.
- Can quickly confirm and send out rapidly developing stories on air and online.
- We are looking for someone who is both a team player and a solo star.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- A degree in journalism or a related field is preferred.
