Job Summary/Description:
KCWY is looking for a multimedia journalist enthusiastic about live reporting, creative shooting, writing, editing and posting of news stories, both hard news and features.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Reporting, writing and shooting abilities for both web and broadcast
- We need a self-starter, able to take the lead in posting web content that is original and fresh
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Edius or other video editing programs is a plus
- Experience with posting stories to social media is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Computer literacy, including newsroom computer systems
- Schedule flexibility
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A degree in journalism or related field, or equivalent experience
