Local News LIVE is Gray TV's 24/7 live streaming news network. It provides live coverage from Gray's 113 markets, allowing viewers to watch stories from across the country on one platform. Watch national coverage of the day's top stories and get a local perspective from journalists who live in the communities they cover.

Job Summary/Description:

Local News LIVE is looking for a dynamic meteorologist/news producer to join our 24/7 live streaming news network. The ideal candidate will be a producer/meteorologist working weekends who creates news and weather content for the channel. Local News LIVE is seeking a meteorologist/producer who thinks on their feet, thrive on what's happening in the moment and embrace a startup culture.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Can articulate and identify the big weather story to help drive content decisions
- Coordinate with weather and news team for comprehensive severe weather coverage
- Write TV copy and use editorial judgment to help determine network content
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
- BS/BA in journalism, communications, or related field preferred
- At least 2 years' experience preferred
- Sound editorial judgment and AP style writing skills
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment requiring strict deadlines and a focus on team orientation
- Familiarity with ENPS, BitCentral and digital content management systems
- Demonstrated ability to host compelling live programming
- AMS Seal of Approval preferred
