Job Summary/Description:
WLBT-TV is looking for our next Meteorologist. This candidate is self-motivated, committed to quality control and must have a passion for both weather and LIVE in-the-field reporting any time day or night. We need someone who can produce and present accurate and reliable forecasts. The idea candidate is highly motivated, versatile, able to handle pressure, meet deadlines and have a positive attitude.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Present weather information across all platforms
- Live weather reports in studio and in the field
- Actively engaged in social media platforms
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in meteorology or atmospheric science is preferred
- Education or training in broadcast journalism or communications
- Flexibility in schedule
