Job Summary/Description:

KFVS12/Heartland News is searching for a full-time Meteorologist who can live our First Alert Weather brand and provide lifesaving weather reports to our 5 state audience in the beautiful Midwest. We have an incredible opportunity for a meteorologist that is looking for an active and challenging weather market.

The right candidate is one who can produce weather content that is urgent, impactful, interesting and understandable. Experience with WSI graphics will be helpful. A bachelor's degree in meteorology is preferred along with 2 years television experience. Ability to work all shifts and various news broadcasts.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in meteorology
- Prior experience as a broadcast meteorologist (amount will vary depending on specific position)
- Strong on-air communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to be creative with graphic design and presentation
- Demonstrated ability to accurately forecast weather
- Proficient in social media platforms
