Job Summary/Description:

This position will be responsible for all IT systems in this broadcast facility. This includes software upgrades and patches to various equipment along with networking responsibilities. This position may also be responsible for day to day duties of the Chief Engineer when they are out of the building.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Have good People Skills to work with the other Departments.
• Must have knowledge of the engineering aspects of the technical facility including studio support, post editing systems, field production support and transmission of live/taped events and programs.
• Have expert knowledge regarding equipment, IT technology, systems and be able to step in and assist in emergency situations.
• Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications within the station.
• Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and communication with departments regarding those regulations.
• Assist in the implementing Capital Projects.
• Integration, maintenance, and operation of new and current equipment including towers, transmitters, microwave, satellite, IT and tenant installations.
• Must be able to install and remove rack equipment weighing 25-50 pounds with the help of another employee.
• Have working knowledge of the latest operating systems software, including automation, server, and desktop operating systems.
• A degree in broadcast engineering or related field/experience is preferred.
