Director, Integrated Design (FX Networks – Los Angeles, CA 90064)

FX Networks is seeking a Director of Integrated Design to oversee the creative management and extension of FX and FX Originals visual branding across all media. The Director will also lead design strategy for visual, user experience and interaction design as it applies to key digital marketing tactics and initiatives.

The FX brand continues to expand through content distribution and marketing tactics across digital and social platforms, VOD partners, and through our streaming service, FX on Hulu. The Integrated Design team is essential in strategizing, establishing, and creating branded assets across all platforms and global marketing initiatives.

The Director will bridge the gap between the Marketing and Design teams. They will collaborate with Digital and Social teams, Creative Directors and Art Directors to translate the brand aesthetic and brand experience across the digital platforms, and push innovation in visual and user experience design.

This is a multi-faceted role overseeing a creative team, while requiring strategic marketing abilities, technical knowledge of digital platforms, and the ability to translate branding across media. Ideal candidates have experience in leading creative design teams, digital design, and brand management or brand extensions as part of 360 campaigns.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with Print and Motion Design teams in the development of cross-platform content & design deliverables.
• Understand campaign strategy and design decisions to create new materials for building out and extending branding of FX and FX Originals across all non-traditional media.
• Create style-guides that bring print, motion design, and integrated/digital brand packaging elements into a cohesive brand resource.
• Provide guidance relating to creative decision making, use cases, and quality control to all internal and external creative partners.
• Collaborate with departments across FX and external partners on all tactics in development that require custom brand creative.
• Lead interactive design research and effectively communicate findings, conceptual ideas and designs to digital design and marketing teams.
• Strategize methods for utilizing design to help maximize ROI in digital marketing initiatives to optimize the users' connection, acceptance, interaction, and engagement with the core brand and all products/content.

Requirements:
• 4 year college degree in Graphic Design, Visual or Interaction Design, Digital Media, or related field of study.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in creative design & branding.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in creative team management and brand management.
• Experience as an Art Director at an Advertising Agency highly preferred.
• Experience in content development and design for social and digital platforms preferred.
• A strong portfolio showcasing excellent design sensibility and typography, visual branding, excellent balance of form & function where design is interwoven with trending technologies and forward-thinking solutions.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, Keynote and Wiredrive/Box/Aspera/Frame.io.
• Knowledge of Digital & Social platforms and technologies.
• Computer programming and web development skills preferred.
• Must have excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Resourceful self-starter, seeking new ways to innovate and stay ahead of the curve.
• Must have ability to multitask and work effectively under changing priorities, heavy deadlines and daily time constraints.
