JOB DESCRIPTION

We're hiring a Vice President and Head of LiveNOW from FOX, FOX TV Stations' national live streaming news product. Reporting to the SVP Digital, the VP/Head of LiveNOW will serve as a cross-functional executive leader, responsible for all aspects of the product's success. This position is based at our east coast headquarters in Orlando, Florida.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee all aspects of LiveNOW strategy and operations, including content, marketing, distribution, product/tech, and audience development. Collaborate closely with other FTS executives to set business direction in line with overall digital strategy. Develop overall LiveNOW strategy, set goals and implement processes necessary to achieve them, while balancing quality and user experience priorities with necessary growth and business goals. Coach staff on successes and opportunities (pacing, content selection, talent performance, on-screen production, special event coverage). Work closely with partnerships team to develop content and marketing necessary for successful distribution across a variety of streaming platforms. Manage budget process. Create culture of innovation and opportunity to attract and hire top talent. Cultivate close relationships with key players at FTS O&O stations and other internal and external partners. Monitor analytics and communicate successes and opportunities with all stakeholders. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: 5-10 years experience and demonstrated success in a news leadership role, including large-market experience, preferred. 4+ years experience managing a staff of 25 or more employees preferred. BA/BS degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications or related field. Track record of successfully motivating news teams. Experience successfully leading remote teams a plus. Demonstrated ability to create and evolve compelling news content on digital and over-the-air platforms. Superior news judgment. Outstanding leadership, communication and presentation skills. Overwhelming attention to detail. Master of process with top-notch organizational skills. Strong relationship builder with a knack for negotiating. Relentless passion and drive to win. Positive, outgoing attitude and a start-up spirit of innovation. Thrive in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure. Strong knowledge of the technical aspects of digital news production, including live streaming and video publishing. Varied hours including weekends and holidays as required.
