Job Description

Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibilities include accounting and financial analysis for each of Fox Television Stations' owned and operated stations and corporate office. Duties would primarily focus on Balance Sheet analysis and reconciliation for TV stations Home Office, performing follow up on all reconciling issues, preparation of adjusting journal entries, and review/follow up on reconciliations performed at the TV Station level. Coordinating with department, management and Compliance team to address all close related activities on a monthly and quarterly basis. Assisting with Home office annual budget and forecast functions and monthly close activities & supporting Compliance team in conducting both internal and external audit function.
Other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualified candidates must have Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of related experience. CPA preferred. Position requires a candidate who is detail-oriented; well organized; an analytical thinker; able to work well independently; able to manage multiple projects; and possesses a strong sense of urgency to meet reporting deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication and advanced Excel skills a must (pivot tables, vlookups, macros). Knowledge Workday general ledger system or equivalent is a plus.
