Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Performs non-linear editing for creative services, sales, news, sports and other programs as needed utilizing the Adobe Creative Cloud collection of software. Duties include tagging promotional spots, editing news billboards, editing client commercials and sales presentations as well as newscast content and segments/packages for other special productions including long form content. Editor will create compelling, understandable and accurate visual stories and will work closely with producers, writers, videographers and Creative Services supervisors to fulfil the goals and expectations of each project. The editor is expected to exercise excellent professional judgment based on current broadcast industry video and audio quality and editing standards. The ideal candidate will be expected to follow station policies regarding journalistic standards, quality and appropriateness, and alert managers when questions arise regarding any of these concerns. This is a union position; membership in IBEW is required. Must be proficient in non-linear editing and have a solid understanding of production techniques. Must demonstrate acute attention to detail and the ability to multi task and deliver quality product on very short deadlines. Additional duties assigned as deemed appropriate or necessary.

Bachelor's degree (B.A) preferred or equivalent related experience working in a mid-to-major size television market. Must have experience with non-linear editing preferably Adobe Premiere and associated software. Familiarity with Bit Central and iNews a plus. Must be able to meet aggressive deadlines while completing high quality edits.
