Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a creative and technically proficient Television Production professional? Do you have the desire to collaborate with passionate and accomplished professionals in the field? Tampa Bay's #1 news station has a full-time opening for an experienced Newscast Director position waiting for you. In this role, you will be an important member of the Production team, regularly Directing newscasts, mixing shows on the Calrec audio console, and Floor Directing. Duties & Responsibilities:
• Direct newscasts and special events utilizing Sony ELC, and the Sony MVS 8000 switcher
• Work with the News Department in assembling show rundowns in iNews, and helping create the most aesthetically dynamic newscast possible
• While Directing, you will utilize Vinten Robotic Cameras, Chyron Prime graphics systems, and Bitcentral Playout Servers
• Mix broadcasts utilizing our Calrec audio console.
• Provide support to our on-air staff by Floor Directing newscasts. Additional studio operations duties include operating our Studio Jib Camera, and confirming basic lighting setups.
• Understand the importance of quality control, and communication with all relevant departments in instances of system, or workflow issues.

The qualified candidate will be able to work various shifts including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. Ability to work unsupervised, as well as part of a team. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Director/T.D. in commercial television with heavy emphasis on fast paced newscasts preferred. Automation experience preferred.
