Job Description
Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Cover general news assignments in a fast-paced news environment using electronic camera & editing equipment; applying techniques appropriate to each story. Understanding of different camera/media formats required. Recent on-the-street TV news photography experience required. Must have live ENG remote experience, including streaming platforms and microwave truck operation. Excellent storytelling techniques including composition, use of audio, lighting and effective editing required. Along with photography, editing is a major component of this position, whether in the field or at the station. Applicant must be able to edit ENG material both remotely and in-house for various newscasts under specific time constraints using non-linear editing equipment. Must have a working knowledge of the Adobe Premiere editing platform. Familiarity with Bitcentral newsroom systems and iNews a plus. Excellent storytelling techniques for on-air, online and social media including composition. Participation in the newsroom's social media initiatives is required. Candidate is expected to be willing to cross-train into other areas of the news operation if needed.

Weekends, holidays, travel & varied hours required. HS diploma required, college degree pref. Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. equipment. Must be able to drive, have proof of insurance, obtain a valid Arizona driver's license and maintain a clean MVR. Resume and on-line link of recent work required of applicants.
