This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We're hiring a Managing Editor for NewsNOW, FOX TV Stations' national live streaming news product. Reporting to the Executive Producer, the Managing Editor help to oversee 120+ hours of live national news coverage every week. This position is based at our NewsNOW headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee execution of daily NewsNOW coverage plans and logistics, in coordination with the Executive Producer. Work with NewsNOW management team to develop content designed to grow audience and build engagement, with user experience constantly in mind. Assist digital journalists and producers with developing segments, arranging interviews and securing content. Coordinate incoming and outgoing feeds and quickly communicate details to digital journalists for air. Plan and carry out coverage of major news events and special projects as needed. Monitor daily workflows to make sure standard operating procedures are followed and communication is clear. Ensure content meets quality and journalistic standards. Monitor analytics in real-time and call out opportunities when you see them. Maintain relationships with key players at FTS O&O stations and other internal and external partners. Assist with administrative duties as needed. Stay on top of breaking news, current events, journalistic practices and industry news. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years experience and demonstrated success in a news leadership role with an emphasis on digital preferred. 3+ years experience managing a staff of 10 or more employees a plus. BA/BS degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications or related field. Superior news judgement. Stellar communication skills. Overwhelming attention to detail. Thrive in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure. Strong technical understanding of news production systems, including how obtain and air live footage, live streaming, and digital video publishing. Proficient in social media, SEO and various tools used for web-based newsgathering, content creation and digital analytics. Willingness to jump in and help with all content creation processes when needed a must! Varied hours including weekends and holidays as required. Must respond quickly in emergency situations.
