Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We're looking for a Level B Technician to join FOX 11 & KCOP13's in-house creative team. Work alongside our Creative Director, Producers, Editors, and Designers to create compelling promos in the nation's 2nd largest market. From pre-production and planning, to roll-out strategy and out-of-the box digital promotion, this position plays a vital role in getting every important marketing message out to the masses!

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) shooting, editing high-level creative that is effective and helps move the brand forward. You'll work alongside Creative Producers to create promos and special content for all platforms, including on-air, for digital, social media, and OTT. You will be a key contributor in editing promos in support of our news product and programming line-ups (including episodic tagging). Must be able to understand local news audiences and how to target promotion effectively to increase viewership. Must be proficient in nonlinear editing systems, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro. Must have working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Media Encoder) Additional duties will be assigned as needed.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Proficiency in creative software tools such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Illustrator. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Creative Services Photographer/Editor (or similar position) in a large/medium sized television market (or similar field). Must have strong conceptual skills with the ability to direct talent and to discuss creative shooting techniques. Must be highly organized and a strong communicator. Recommended to be familiar with KTTV/KCOP News & Programming. Microsoft Office experience required. Familiarity and working knowledge of multicamera shoots, DSLRs, Gimbals, color correction, green screen compositing, and audio mixing is required.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $53.79-53.79 per hour for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
