Job Description
Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Executive Producer is responsible for managing production of daily news coverage on-air and on digital platforms, publishing to digital and social channels and providing editorial leadership in the newsroom.
• Plans and supervises production of daily news broadcasts, determining content and coverage
• Plans and supervises production of news special programming and unscripted breaking news coverage
• Works with newscast producers to enhance the visual and scripted presentation of newscast content, showcasing coverage of major stories
• Writes scripts, creates graphics and performs other newscast producing tasks as needed
• Publishes and supervises publishing of content across all of our digital channels, including social media, in collaboration with the Digital Content Manager
• Collaborates with newscast producers, associate producers, digital content creators, photojournalists, assignment editors and reporters assigned to their daypart
• Develops, implements and maintains standards of performance in producing, writing and graphic presentation in daily newscasts
• Evaluates work performance of newscast producers, associate producers and reporters
• Undertakes other production and supervisory tasks as directed by the Vice President/News Director
• Identifies outstanding producers for promotion or recruitment

Requirements:
• Outstanding leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills
• Well-developed skills in the area of journalism and television production with a keen sense of what makes ''good television''
• Must participate and excel in social media

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a related field preferred. Four years of experience producing television newscasts for broadcast at a commercial television station preferred.

Previous supervisory experience preferred
