JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports is looking for a Viz Graphics Manager to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The Viz Graphics Manager is responsible for managing the production pipeline as it pertains to the Viz/Real-time graphics group and managing projects with graphic producers that require real-time graphics work.

SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
• Define scope of new real-time graphics projects
• Manage real-time graphics for high-profile, marquis events such as NFL, World Cup, and Super Bowl
• Act as main liaison for real-time 3D platforms for while keeping structure and workflow consistent between Charlotte and Los Angeles
• Act as liaison between remote broadcast technical crews and the graphics department with matters concerning insert graphic technology
• Collaborate with Graphic Managers and Production Managers to make sure all pipelines are consistent and deadlines are met
• Work in concert with Executive Director of Graphics to ensure all project needs are met and to examine workflows within the real-time area
• Work with remote and studio font coordinators and graphic operators for all broadcasts to ensure proper use of our graphics and systems
• Work with all current statistical integrations with all sports disks
• Recognize if there are efficiencies that can be implemented when it comes to communicating and supporting remote and studio crews
• Participate in development of workflow tools
• Oversee quality control of all elements outgoing from the Viz/Unreal group
• Partner with the engineering group to ensure graphic systems are updated with proper software and graphic elements
• Provide advanced technical support for all Vizrt/Unreal and any new real-time renderer systems throughout FSMG; this support may require travel to remote events and studios
• Provide training and guidance to the Help Desk group

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 5+ years of graphic production experience
• Self-starter attitude with the ability to be proactive
• Great time management skills and interpersonal relationship skills
• Extremely PC literate and understand networking
• Strong knowledge of VIZ RT platform; software includes Trio, Artist, Engine, Graphics Hub, Graphics Hub Manager
• Strong knowledge of all digital graphic file formats and their appropriate applications
• Strong knowledge of various insert platforms – VizRT, Ticker, FOXBox
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings
• Ability to travel

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
• Live television production experience
• Experience with Unreal
