JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX Sports is looking for a Researcher to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The Researcher is responsible for providing support staff with background information for all show talent. Duties include researching topics discussed in editorial meetings; providing statistical analysis paired with detailed graphics suitable for air; providing real-time assistance in talent meetings and during live production; checking chyron graphics; and watching games and perusing trusted sources to inspire ideas for topics and video.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research topics discussed in the editorial meeting with the intention of enhancing the show conversation by providing meaningful statistics and information
• Attend talent meetings to provide real-time information and support
• Absorb live sports and trusted sources to offer ideas and enhance content for show topics and video
• Conduct a fast check to eliminate factual errors from scripts and graphics
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 1+ years of related experience
• Experience with internet-based research
• Knowledge of sports and sports celebrities
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work with talent and to deal effectively and politely with difficult situations and diverse personalities
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under daily time constraints in a high pressure environment
• Willing to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends as needed

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $55,500.00-77,500.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
