Freelance Marketing Insights and Analytics Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports is searching for a Marketing Insights and Analytics Freelancer to assist the team in Los Angeles. You will help in the analysis of campaign performance spanning both linear and digital viewership as well as social media and other relevant targeting channels. Your output will greatly impact strategies for some of the top properties in the FOX Sports portfolio including the MLB, Women's World Cup, College Football, NASCAR, USFL and more. You will need to have a keen attention to detail, be an analytical thinker and team player. You live for positioning data in a thoughtful and meaningful way that tells a story and can be actioned upon. This position will report to the Director, Brand Marketing Insights and Analytics and will collaborate with other key department stakeholders as well as the media AOR and other 3rd party partners.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Priority project - Brand Marketing Insights Strategies
• Gather, evaluate, and position existing research to craft insights strategy presentations per FOX Sports property - Inputs include but are not limited to Nielsen (ratings, composition, duplications), MRI/Simmons, Social Listening and primary research
• Utilize a variety of resources (Nielsen, comScore, Adobe Analytics, Kantar, etc.) to aid in the development and maintenance of reports that evaluate marketing and media efforts
• Collect and summarize findings from ratings and marketing efforts, using data visualization techniques to share results
• Create and maintain an insights database that houses research documents from a variety of sources and departments
• Work with media AOR to collect and condense paid media performance
• Collaborate on various quantitative and qualitative research projects

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 4+ years of relevant experience - preferably with TV Network or Streaming platform
• Working knowledge of TV ratings and viewership data
• Experience with Nielsen suite of products, comScore and Kantar
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to think strategically
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while taking direction seamlessly
• Extremely proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; creating Pivot tables to summarize data when necessary
• Familiarity with platforms like MRI-Simmons, YouGov and iSpot, etc., as well as social listening tools

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
• Media Agency experience, preferably in consumer insights
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or Economics
